1. Select Open Coloring Tools from the Color menu in the menubar

   

2. Choose the colour you require from the color tools palette

3. Select the appropriate tool from the top of the palette.

   To start with select the Rect tool

4. Now select Place Rectangle from the Items menu in the menubar

   

   This places a square of the colour you chose on the card. If you were in the Background layer the colour would be placed on that layer.

5. Click on the middle of the coloured square and hold the mouse button down as you drag it where you like on the card.

6. Resize the square by clicking in a corner, holding the mouse down and dragging.

   

Colouring a Button

1. Select the Button tool from the top of the palette

2. Click on the button you wish to colour

3. Choose the colour you require from the color tools palette

4. Double click on the colored rectangle and choose which Bevel effect you want using the dialog box that opens as below

   

5. If you wish you can change the colour of the button while it is active simply by choosing another colour from the color tools palette

Colouring a Field

Follow the steps for colouring a button only this time select the Field tool from the palette and click on the field you wish to colour
